Small development tools: one clear responsibility
A starting point for separating repeated tasks into small understandable modules.

In this article
A useful package need not introduce a large infrastructure. A small module with clear inputs and outputs is easier to assess before moving it to another project.
Describe the scope in one sentence
Say what the package does and what data it expects. A sharing helper shares a link; it should not claim to publish content automatically to a social network. A metadata helper creates tags; it does not guarantee a search position.
Provide a usage example
Show dependencies and failure behaviour. Readers should see where their own address belongs and when each fallback is used. A clear example belongs with the package description.
Make the licence and version visible
People should understand usage terms and the version before downloading. Describe changes in a short note. Even a small tool has a maintenance boundary.
